Hi all! Welcome back to another update. Today I am sharing a bit more info about the survey and proofreading process! So, where are we at currently?

Content creation - done!

Yup! That's correct, content creation is offiicially finished and we are doing the preliminary proofreading, particularly with the 5e version of the book! That means that we are well on our way to getting the beta access to the PDFs to you guys soon.

BackerKit surveys!

As I mentioned, we are proofreading the book and applying the fixes as we speak. In the meantime, we've gone through BackerKit and got approval to start sending surveys. The last thing that is currently in progress is a smoke test before all backers get surveys. 

This means that surveys were sent out to 5% of backers to see if the surveys make sense and to check if there are any issues. As soon as 50-75% of those backers complete their surveys without issues, then we will send out the rest of them. Please be sure to check if you are one of these smoke test backers!

How will beta PDFs work?

Beta PDFs for your corresponding system will be sent to you once our proofreading is complete AND if you have completed the survey. This allows us to identify the folks that wanted the PDF and also what system you pick. We should then be able to send it out via email, alongside an optional survey for you guys to fill out if you spot any mistakes. Again, we will keep you updated when this time comes!

Looking forward

We plan to send the beta PDFs by the end of the months, followed by a couple of weeks where you guys can submit feedback and approve them. In the meantime, we will be obtaining printed proofs of both monster books + the battlemap book. After that, we can look into printing the main order. This will depend on you completing the surveys so we know numbers for each system. :D

We also realise that world events right now will delay shipping. We will be in contact with our chosen printer and coordinate with our fulfillment partner to determine the true impact of the situation, updating you guys again accordingly. Just to reiterate, we are still hoping for a December fulfillment period for physical backers.

Campaign Ended! What next and when to expect rewards!

Hey all! I wanted to take a moment and say thank you so much for your incredible support - for we wouldn't be here without you today! Today I wanted to go through what to expect and set out a soft timeline up until fulfilment!

Final Campaign Stats

With each campaign, I love to have a look at the stats and summaries. Let's take a look at the final stats, shall we?

Fun fact, all books combined weigh as much as an adult polar bear (~500 kg)!

What's Next?

So, where does that leave us? What do we do next? Let's have a look at it in a bit more detail!

Kickstarter Funds

The first thing would be the Kickstarter funds. In the first two weeks, all of the funds will be collected from you, allowing us to use the money to fund the total number of physical books and get them printed!

Creation Timeline

As it stands right now, we still have a bit of content to finish; the main thing is the 5e edition of the monster manual since the SF/PF2e version is already done. We also need to finish the battlemap book and get it in a ready-to-print format. Therefore, we will be taking the next couple of months to do exactly that - finishing the content creation process!

Proofreading!

The next phase would be all of the proofreading that we need to do for the monster manual. Once we have done an initial proofread, we will be releasing a PDF beta access to all backers who ordered at least the PDF version of the book. This will contain both the DnD5e and SF/PF2e versions. We may do an initial survey to make sure the right versions get sent to the right places!

Anyone who spots any mistakes will also be credited in our book as a proofreader. Yes, this is on top of our early backer credit!

Printed Proofs

From here, we will be obtaining printed proofs from our printer. Not really much to say about it, but hopefully we will have got it right the first time and don't need too many corrections. :D

Fulfillment Surveys

After that, I will be sending out surveys for BackerKit, allowing you to manage/confirm your pledges, get any add-ons you desire, and add your address if you got a physical edition. Please note that even if you have a digital-only pledge, you will need to confirm your pledge to get your rewards.

Fulfillment

There will likely be a delay between the survey step and actual fulfilment as we plan to give people time to fill out their surveys and get our books sent to our fulfilment partner. Once the system is in place, we will then charge for shipping via BackerKit and hopefully be in a place where we can start the fulfilment process in November/December!
